June 30, 1946 - February 6, 2025

Leslie Jeanne Walters (nee Loughlin), beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and sister, passed away peacefully at home in Surrey, British Columbia, on February 6, 2025, at the age of 78 after battling Cancer and Parkinson's Disease.

Born on June 30, 1946, Leslie dedicated her life to caring for others. She was married for 52 wonderful years to her devoted husband, Gary. Together, they raised their son, Chris, and found joy in their grandson, Carter.

Leslie had a deep love for animals, especially her dogs and horse. Her compassion extended beyond her home, as she spent years volunteering with Hospice and working in Pastoral Care with the Church. She began her career as a flight attendant but found her true calling in service to others. Her warmth, kindness, and humor made her a bright light in the lives of all who knew her.

She is survived by her loving husband, Gary Walters; her son and daughter-in-law, Chris and Marie Walters; her cherished grandson, Carter Walters; her step-daughters Karen McHaffie, Kim Wardie, Shelia Walters and Susan Standford and her brother, Rick Loughlin.

A memorial service will be held on March 22 ,2025,at 2:00PM at Peninsula United Church (2756-127th Street, Surrey, BC) to celebrate Leslie's life. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her memory to the Surrey SPCA at https://spca.bc.ca/locations/surrey/?form=donationssurrey.
