It is with very great sadness that Chris Ellis, husband and Lisa Boutilier, daughter announce the passing of a beloved wife and mother on June 28, 2021. Lorna and Chris have lived happily as husband and wife since marrying in 1969 in Sudbury Ontario where they met, then moved to Western Canada in 1977. Lorna was born in Nelson, BC on 30 September 1948.
She is predeceased by her parents Enid and Desmond Hood, and son Scott Ellis. She is survived by her sister Sharon Parisotto of White Rock, husband Chris Ellis of White Rock, daughter Lisa Boutilier of Langley, BC, and grandchildren Dayton Boutilier and Dylan Boultilier of Langley, BC.
Lorna died June 28 at approximately midnight due to the tremendous heatwave that enveloped the White Rock area during this night. Even though 911was called around 10:00 PM that evening the Emergency Response Team could not attend quickly enough to save Lorna. My thanks goes out to BC Ambulance Service, Surrey/Whiterock Fire Department Paramedics, and Surrey RCMP for their valiant life saving attempt. (Chris Ellis)
Cremation will take place atAlternatives Funeral & Cremation Services in Aldergrove, BC. There will be no funeral. Lorna's ashes will deposited in Slocan, BC with her parents' remains at a future date.
