Born in Vancouver, B.C. on August 21, 1926, Lorne passed away peacefully on August 1, 2018 at Chartwell Crescent Gardens Retirement Community.
Predeceased by his wife Aileen Jean Hunter, father Walter Fraser Hunter, mother Myrta Marie Hunter, brother Glenn Hunter and sister Lou Donald. He will be lovingly remembered by children Rhonda Pummell (Ray), Bruce Hunter (Rita) and Cindy McCaughterty (Bill), eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
He was a quiet and thoughtful man who provided well for his family, was a dedicated student of Christian Science and active in his church, loved hiking and orienteering, created beautiful garden spaces and was an ace horseshoe player.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date.
