LIVESEY, Lorraine, affectionately known as "Smoky" to many of her family and friends, passed on to our Lord on August 29th, 2008, with her family by her side, following a courageous battle with cancer. She was married to her loving husband, Bob, for 37 years. She leaves, also, her four children, Linda (James), Rusty (Kim), Kelly and Kristina (Mike); eleven grandchildren and thirteen great-grandchildren. Lorraine was the Returning Officer for B.C. Elections, South Surrey / White Rock and she also worked on many other elections, federal and municipal. Her passions in life were her family, gardening, crossword puzzles , knitting , crocheting, cooking and music. Lorraine will be sadly missed by all those who knew her. She was gentle, yet strong, very generous, loving and lots of fun. Lorraine was the family matriarch, who will be greatly missed. Her Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, September 20th, at First United Church, 15385 Semiahmoo Ave., in White Rock, with the Reverend Joan McMurtry officiating.
