Lorraine Pfortmueller

January 3, 1942 - April 4, 2022
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend, Margaret Lorraine Pfortmueller. Lorraine passed away in hospital on April 4, 2022 surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Vancouver on January 3, 1942, Lorraine was the eldest of three children. After graduating high school, she trained as a lab technician then worked at Shaughnessy Hospital. It was during that time she met the love of her life, Gary. They married in 1965 and have spent 57 years together.
Lorraine was the mother of two sons and had six grandchildren - all whom she loved dearly. Hosting family gatherings and entertaining life-long friends were things she always looked forward to and did well. After retirement, Lorraine and Gary enjoyed exploring much of BC in their little trailer.
Keeping and maintaining a beautiful garden was her best loved hobby. Sitting in her peaceful garden was like sitting in a park.
Along with family and friends, Lorraine loved and trusted God. Her faith sustained her throughout everything life challenged her with.
"Be still and know I am God" was her motto, especially as her health declined.
Above all, Lorraine was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend. We will all miss her beautiful smile, generosity, and grace.
She is survived by husband, Gary, sons: Greg (Kat), Victor (Deanna), grandchildren: Mitchell (Jasmine), Connor, Emily, Ryan, Matea, Ketura. Sister, Jean, brother John.
A memorial service will be held on: Sunday, April 24th, 2022 at 2 pm
