HANSFORD, LUCILLE LILLIAN (nee Thompson)
March 23, 1920 - July 25, 2011. Lucille slipped away in her sleep. She will be lovingly missed by sons Earl (Cathy) and Alfred (Irene), sons-in-law Roger Rivard and Ernie Althaus, grand- children Darcy (Paul)Kinder, David and
Michael (Shannon) Hansford, Trevor and Ron Althaus, Michelle (Simon) Adamson, Dane (Ruth), Vickie, Jody and Curtis Hansford and twelve great grand- children. Predeceased by husband Fred of 67 years in 2008, siblings Margarite (Peggy) and Norman Lloyd (Bud) Thompson, daughters Florence, Joyce and son Douglas. Lucille was born in Riverhurst, Sask and spent her early life on a farm. In 1956 she and Dad moved to South Surrey with five children. They made many friends in the area and prized their visits and contacts. She had an excellent memory and was a warm and
loving person. Special couples
Marilyn and Ross Davidson, Patty and Bill Kinshella were endlessly supportive, as was next door son-in-law Ernie and the neighbors on 22nd Avenue. Thanks to the Rosemary Heights Senior Village staff for the wonderful care given to Mom in the past three years. Thanks also to Karen Reed and her Home Support people. Flowers gratefully declined. A memorial service was held at Valley View Funeral Home, 14660 72nd Ave., Surrey at 10:00AM on Friday, July 29th. A reception will follow interment.
