It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Lynne (Patricia) Ogilvie on September 1st after a 20+ year battle with Alzheimers. She passed peacefully, with family at her side.
Lynne is survived by her husband Robert, son Darren, daughter Jennifer (Ross), her 5 grandchildren, Isabel, Jacob, Montana, Gordon and Teegan, sister Mary, brothers-in law Gary (Shirl) and John (Donna) and many loved cousins, nieces, nephews and many friends.
Lynne graduated from St. Paul's as a registered nurse and spent her career as a dedicated nurse at the Royal Columbian Hospital. She retired as the Nursing Supervisor in early 2000, and shortly thereafter was diagnosed.
She was a loving wife, amazing mom and a doting grandmother. Lynne had a warm smile, a welcoming heart and an infectious laugh. Her passions were her family, travelling, reading, gardening, biking, playing tennis and bridge.
It is with sincere appreciation and gratitude that we thank her caregivers at Heather Point, in Delta View, for their kindness and compassion.
In lieu of flowers, you may donate in Lynne's name to the Alzheimer's Society of BC.
In recognition of the times, there will be a small, private family celebration.
