Lower Malcolm Roland

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Malcolm Roland Lower on March 8, 2009 in Langley Memorial Hospital. Loved ones were at his side. Malcolm will be greatly missed by his wife Elizabeth, his children, Scott (Kerrie) Lower, Megan (Robert) Agnello, Kim (Bob) Boogaart, Steve (Pam) Wilson, Libby (Wayne) Orser, Jim (Sylvia) Webster, his brother Phillip (Ann) Lower, his grandchildren, Mikka, Antonio,Teresa, Matt, Mark, Trevor, Cheryl, Bobbie, Danny,Bradley, Bree-Ann, Taylor, Ali, Thomas, his sister-in-law Jo-Ellen Caple, brother-in-law Bruce (Candy) Caple and nieces & nephews. Malcolm enjoyed nine years of retirement from his accounting practice. He will be fondly remembered by many, many close friends. Childhood friends; Donald Sache, Barry Gladstone, Brian Barker, Ian Borland. Barber Shop quartet; Leigh Anderson, Gareth Evens, John Spence. Pool Club; Clarence & Joan, Bob & Adele, Joe & Loretta, Pattie, Rob & Elisabeth, Theatre; Shirley Clark, Mary Renvall, and many others. From Bellingham, Jerry & Esther Melcher. Malcolm took tremendous pride in creating beauty. He followed the skilled direction Clarence gave him on how to cement beach rock on the Neptune beach house, (each rock collected and carefully selected and placed by Malcolm). Many of us will remember the fabulous crab feeds, summer BBShop picnics - salmon expertly cooked by Hugh & Bernice at Neptune and BBShop singing, especially to Maryanne & Mike. Some will remember, in the good old days, a gin & tonic served by Malcolm with his divine crispy cooked garlic oysters at Redrooffs. A memorial service to celebrate Malcolm's life will be held at Willoughby Church, 20525 72nd Ave., Langley, BC at 11am on March 21st. In lieu of flowers, donations in his memory may be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
