In Loving Memory ~
On August 9, 2023, Margaret Aves of Peachland, BC passed away at the age of 75 years.
Our beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt passed away with her family by her side following a courageous battle with cancer.
Marg will be lovingly remembered by Jeffrey, her husband of 57 years; children, Colin (Karli), Greg (Ninette), Mike (Nikki), Derek (Cheryl); grandchildren, Katelynn, Conner (Stefanie), Courtney, Keegan, Maggie, Sam, and Tyler.
She will also be dearly missed by many of her friends and family from Glasgow, Scotland Edmonton, AB and White Rock, BC.
Margaret was born in Scotland to Patrick and Molly Kelly. She moved to Canada in 1965 where she soon met Jeffrey through friends and family through the game of football (soccer). They were soon married and settled in Edmonton, AB. They then moved to St Albert and spent a number of years raising the four boys.
Jeffrey took employment in Vancouver in 1985 and he and Marg moved the family west to White Rock, BC. Marg worked as a marriage commissioner for many years and it is said that she married as many as 500 couples over 15 years.
Jeff and Marg made the move to West Kelowna and Peachland in 2021. The Okanagan was a place that the family had spent many summers over the years, mainly in Penticton. One of Marg's favourite places to be was with Jeffrey, the boys, and the grandkids in Nuevo Vallarta. She really loved to travel.
A gathering of family and friends will take place on Friday September 15 in White Rock, BC (location to be announced).
