Margaret Irene RUDGE

July 23, 2006

RUDGE, Margaret Irene

With deepest love for all she has been to us, we say farewell to Margaret Irene Rudge, wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Margaret was bon in Liverpool, England, on November 24, 1930. She passed away peacefully at home in White Rock on July 23, 2006. Margaret will be fondly remembered for her broad-reaching smile, her inner strength and, most of all, her love of her family.

After emigrating with her husband, Garth, from England to Toronto in 1953,

Margaret and her family moved to British Columbia in 1969. Margaret and Garth opened the Young Trend, a children's wear store, and later the Village Hardware store in Tsawwassen. Margaret loved gardening and flower arranging and was a talented athlete in her youth. In her later years she was an ardent

follower of English soccer.

She is survived by her loving husband, Garth, her daughters, Gillian Rudge

(Tony Clarke) and Kimberly Beharrell

(Dave Russell), her son Mark Rudge, and her grandchildren, Courtney and

Tyler Beharrell, and Thomas, Eric,

and Connor Rudge.

A celebration of Margaret's life will be held at a future date. In lieu of flowers, if so desired, donations may be made in

Margaret's name to the B.C. Cancer

Society.
