Margaret Lisk - (Bessie Margaret Brandreth Gibbs) Long time resident of New Westminster and White Rock, died peacefully in her sleep on November 14, 2003 at Morgan Place Care Facility, South Surrey in her 89th year. Margaret was raised in North Burnaby as the only daughter of Walter Cyril Brandreth Gibbs and Bessie Barber, she was born on February 27, 1915, Winnipeg, Manitoba.
She is survived by her loving family, daughter Dorothy Jones and husband Morris (Moe) of New Westminster; son Gary and wife Deborah of McMinnville, Oregon; nephew Bob Gervan and wife Madge of South Surrey; granddaughter Mandy Jones & grandson Daniel Lisk; and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her parents Walter and Bessie Gibbs; brother Richard Gibbs of Edmonds, Washington; and her dear husband Walter almost one year ago.
Before going into the care facility, Margaret and Walter were always visiting people that couldn't get out, taking in meals, home-made pies and flowers; she loved to work in her garden and obtained all her knowledge from her father who owned Gibbs Greenhouses in North Burnaby.
Memorial service will be held at Peace Portal Alliance Church, 15128 - 28th Avenue, South Surrey at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, November 19, 2003.
