Sadly we announce the death of Margot Charlotte Gage Thomson.
Following a brief illness, Margot died in her home in Crescent Beach on 16th of January, in the presence of her loving partner Ben and her close friends Ruth and Robert.
Margot was born in Regina, Saskachewan, attended Vic College 1955 -57, Graduated from U.B.C. with a degree in Honours Psychology,1960.
Margot's 25 year career as a psychologist, initially in government services and later in private practice, involved therapeutic work with children, families and individuals.
Following her retirement, Margot designed and painted on glass and became a prolific painter on canvas. Much of her work can be seen on her website at http://www.margotthomson.ca .
As reflected in her professional and personal life, Margot's deep interest in and love for people was paramount. Through her relationships, Margot has touched, inspired, encouraged, loved and transformed so many.
Margot is survived by her spouse Ben Nuttall-Smith; stepchildren Chris (Carol) Nuttall-Smith; Heidi (Raul) Perez; grandchildren Arianne, Xavier, Cormac and countless friends.
