Marion Shirley Platten

September 10, 1928 - February 2, 2020
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Marion Shirley Platten (Slater), February 2, 2020 at the Hogg Pavilion Peace Arch Hospital at the age of 91.
Born and raised in Alberta, Marion moved to Vancouver in her early 20's where she met and married her husband Frank (Slim) Platten. In 1962 they moved their large family to White Rock B.C. where Marion's life was full of adventure and love. Is she wasn't running after her 7 children she was welcoming new family members and grandchildren. Painting beautiful landscapes, raising chickens or whatever other animal we brought home, tending her vegetable garden, spending time at the beach or off fishing with her brother, as well as planning family summer adventures or winter crafts. Later in life she developed a love for Golf, league pool and travel
Marion is predeceased by husband Frank (Slim), son Gary, daughter Lynn and Grandson Jeffery. Survived by daughters Dale Brown (Ken), Terri Baker (Buck), Shirley Platten, Penny Braun (Ken) and Tracey Haugen as well as 15 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren.

A celebration of life will be held from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm on March 1st, 2020 at Morgan Creek Golf, 3500 Morgan Creek Way, Surrey, BC, Canada.
