GAMBLE; Mary Alice
July 9, 1925 - June 24, 2016
Mary, born in Singapore, passed away in Mountainview Manor, Delta B.C. after a short illness. She is predeceased by husband Gordon. Mary leaves behind her children Linda (Tom), Allan (Phillipa), Charlene (Steve), grandchildren, Nicole (Jim), Jeff (Katie), Mitchell and great grandchildren Carter, Davis, Violet, Nathan and Rosa. Mary was a wonderful seamstress, having started the Singer Sewing School in Singapore where she taught dressmaking and tailoring and continuing to work in that field after immigrating to Canada through Pier 21. Her passion was cooking, in particular the cuisines of Singapore and Malaysia. Mary will be remembered by family and friends for the wonderful meals she served as well as her baking skills. A private family celebration of life and scattering of
ashes will be held at a later date.
