JANS, Mary Frances
It is with great sadness that the family of Mary Jans announces her passing on Saturday, August 6, 2016, at the age of 85, at Peace Arch Hospital in White Rock, BC. She is lovingly remembered by her husband John of 62 years, her 7 children; Gerry, Frances, Marian, Nancy (Tim), Pauline, Carolin (Trent), and John (Michele), and her 12 grandchildren; Jonathan, Ciska, Sebastian, Damian, Riley, Carly, Corey, Larisa, Payton, Sofie, Johanna, and Logan. A 20+ year resident of White Rock, Mary was an active participant in the Catholic Church and her much loved quilting group. Many of the quilts she made were donated to the needy in various parts of the world as well as to local hospitals. The family wishes to thank the Peace Arch Hospital doctors, nurses and staff for the loving care and consideration provided to Mary. And a special thank you to Father Dion, Trudi Stammer for the Music Ministry, the women of Mary Martha for the Reception, the CWL Honour Guard and Kearney Funeral Services. Funeral Mass was held at Good Shepherd Church, Surrey. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Canadian Cancer Society would be greatly appreciated.
