December 2, 1920 - August 8, 2018
Maurice George Low, born Elbow Saskatchewan 02 December 1920. Passed away suddenly on August 08, 2018 at the Peace Arch Hospital, White Rock BC at the age of 97.

After moving to Aldergrove BC in 1937 (where he finished school) Maurice enlisted in the RCAF and served overseas during WW II. He returned to BC in late 1945 and joined the BC Police Service detachment in Dawson Creek where he met Sheila Braden. They were married on April 30, 1947 and soon had 3 children (Kevin, Gordon and Duncan).

In 1950 the RCMP assumed policing duties in BC and Maurice was accepted as a constable following training in Regina Saskatchewan. He served in Dawson Creek, Union Bay, Chemainus, Duncan and Vancouver before retiring in 1970. The Canadian Medical Association College of Physicians and Surgeons of BC, quickly hired Maurice for their new investigations branch located in Vancouver until retiring once again in 1984.

Maurice and Sheila then settled in White Rock BC and kept busy in their retirement with many community/service groups from the Kent Street Chorus to assisting seniors with income tax issues. Maurice is predeceased by his wife Sheila and first son Kevin. He is survived by sons Gordon (Australia) and Duncan (Nelson BC), five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Funeral service will commence at 1400 hrs, September 01, 2018, at the Valley View Funeral Chapel 14660-72 Ave Surrey BC.
