Olliffe (nee Sloan); Mavis
April 2, 1937 - June 5, 2016
Mavis was born in Rocky Mountain House, Alberta on April 2, 1937, one of three children born to Havelock and Hazel, and left us peacefully on June 5, 2016. Mavis was giving, loving, a great birthday cake baker, daughters' dress seamstress and a supporter of many organizations including being a foster parent and Red Cross volunteer. She was a most caring, humble and kind woman. She is gone now; dancing with the stars, not the stars on Hollywood and Vine, but the stars that twinkle and shine and make people ooh and ahh in the dark of night with their shining. One of the last few photographs we have of mom is of her sailing like a happy child on a swing; she looks young and beautiful.
She will be sorely missed by her 6 children, Betty (Horn), Brenda (Wollenberg), Cheryl (Horn), Mark (Allen), Stephen (Allen) and Sandra (Allen); 12 grandchildren; 1 great granddaughter; friends; and her dear care-giver, Chrissy.
