Peacefully at Peace Arch Hospital in White Rock on Wednesday, January 13, 2021. Mike Cermak of White Rock passed away at the age of 91.
Beloved husband of Wilma (nee Church) who passed away many years ago. Beloved by his four children Debby, Leslie, Grant and Paul. He will be missed by his two grandchildren Maddy and Thomas. He will also be greatly missed by Lorraine and Sean Haskell, of Vancouver, to whom he steadfastly acted as honorary Uncle, for all of Sean's life. The Cermak family would like to thank Shirley Suisse for going beyond being a good neighbor.
Mike came to Canada from Czechoslovakia via India to attend University in Montreal. He had an interesting career working for Eaton's, Bell Canada and Kruger Pulp and Paper. He worked for many years in Toronto in the field of Management Consulting finishing off his career in Vancouver.
In his retirement he enjoyed gardening, his friends and social events at Breakaway Bays. He was an avid reader and enjoyed Canadian history. Mike was an amazing
cook and his excellent curries will be missed.
Mike will be cremated and his ashes will be spread with those of his beloved wife Wilma.
Mike requested that there be no services held but there will be a small celebration of his life at a later date.
