Our darling Michelle passed away peacefully, surrounded by her family. Sadly, cancer took her away from us far too early. Michelle was born and raised in Toronto, attended the Universities of Guelph and British Columbia which led to a successful career as a Clinical Dietitian. She leaves behind her cherished young daughter Sophie Michaud, beloved husband Darren Bennato, dear stepdaughters Kate, Giuliana and Gabrielle, loving parents, Marc and Vreni Ducommun, and adoring sister Nicole. She will also be sadly missed by her relatives and friends in Switzerland, Toronto, Vancouver, and by her colleagues and friends at Peace Arch and Surrey Memorial Hospitals. Michelle was so very special and had a unique warmth and kindness that brought happiness to those around her. Celebration of Life to take place at 10:30 a.m. on February 4th, 2017 at Victory Funeral Centre, 14831 28 Ave. Surrey, BC. In lieu of flowers, donations to the BC Wildlife Rescue Association in Michelle’s memory would be appreciated (wildliferescue.ca).
