July 12, 1926 - January 9, 2019
Norah was born and raised in Calgary, Alberta. She married Donald Howard Daniel in 1949 (predeceased 1972). They had three daughters in Calgary before moving to Vancouver in the spring of 1956. After settling in Burnaby, Norah quickly became involved in her community; she was a member of her Anglican Choir and Altar Guild; she became a Brownie Leader and then served as a Girl Guide Commissioner for several years; plus she was involved in the Parent-Teacher groups at her daughters' schools. In 1961 when her youngest daughter entered school Norah returned to work as a bookkeeper.

In 1975 Norah married Keith Cockburn (predeceased 2007). After retiring they travelled extensively; a tour across Canada; a visit to the Cook Islands, Tahiti, Australia, and New Zealand; and England, Scotland and Ireland. Amazingly they were able to see relatives in most areas they visited. They lived in Burnaby, New Westminster, and South Surrey.

In her later years Norah belonged to the Church of Holy Trinity in White Rock and was a member of the Altar Guild and Choir. Norah and Keith were avid Bridge players and strong participants in the Heart/Cardio exercise group. In later years the 'Happy Hour Group' in her building became a very important part of Norah's life.

Norah is survived by her daughters, Miriam (Allan), Susan (Alan), and Catherine (Eric (predeceased)); her step-sons Douglas (Suzanne) and John. She was very proud of her grandchildren, Shannon, Greg, Laura, Michael, Sarah, Daniel, plus her special grandniece Heather. She was also overjoyed with her great-grandchildren who took over the 'kids table' at family gatherings. Norah was predeceased by her three younger siblings.

Norah taught her daughters and grandchildren many important life lessons, and her legacy will continue. Please raise a glass to toast a life well-lived.
