Patricia passed away peacefully to be with her heavenly Father on May 8, 2020. She lived a long life into her mid-90s predeceased by her husband Ted and her brother, Cliff. She is survived by her daughter, Janet (Tom), grandchildren Emily and Paul (Lauren) her great granddaughter, Georgia; also, her nephew, Keith and niece, Anne, both living abroad.
Mum will be remembered for her fierce independence, glamour, sense of humour, and resilience to the challenges she faced throughout her life; those being, a fatherless child at 6 years, surviving the London Blitz during WWII in her teens, and immigration to Canada with Ted and Janet in adulthood. She supported Ted in his business in the artistry of upholstery and interior design. Above all, her Christian faith was her foundation to always carry on or 'get on with it' as she would say.
Mum had many interests and involvements in the South Surrey community such as ballroom dancing with Ted, gardening, opera, ministries in the Anglican Church and her long time friendships. She was an entertaining story teller. Never short on sharing colourful stories about London and adjustments in her newly adopted country Canada, her home for 70 years.
The family would like to thank the Dr Chin and medical team at Dr Al Hogg Pavilion for their constant care and attention to Patricia. Due to Covid 19, The Reverend James Krawchuk will officiate a small graveside service at Church of the Holy Trinity, 15115 Roper Avenue, White Rock on Saturday, July 18th at 11 am. No reception. Instead of flowers please consider a donation to the Canadian Heart Foundation.
