July 27, 1953 - September 9, 2024

Patti Maureen Caplette, of Crescent Beach, BC, passed away peacefully with family by her side, on September 9, 2024, at the age of 71, after being diagnosed with Liver Cancer, and having no medical treatments available to her. She lived her life to the fullest, 'when life gives you lemon's make lemonade', as she lived with this cancer for the past 6 months.

Even as her body was failing, Patti continued to amaze her doctors and everyone around her with her energy, and beauty, sharing that bright smile of hers, we shall all miss so dearly.

Patti was born in the Queen Charlotte Islands, BC, on July 27, 1953, well known for being Miss Surrey in 1971. An ex-banker to avid home maker, more like a Domestic Goddess she would say, and an outstanding gardener. People who walked by always admired her garden and home. She took pride in everything she did. You would always see her at her best, dressed in girly bright vibrant dresses and have on her most comfortable shoes 'High Heals'.

She was very creative, and especially loved celebrating and decorating the house for all occasions, holidays and every season. She had the best decorated house on the block. Patti, could walk into a room and bring so much happiness.

She will be greatly missed by, her high school sweetheart Husband (December 1967- Sept 9, 2024), Rob Caplette, her children Ashley (Kyle) Garrett (Allyson), and Courtney Patterson, her 5 grandchildren, that called her Bella, Jaidyn (20) Jackson(16) Rhylan(13) Logan(12) Austin(6). As well as other family and many friends, and countless others she touched her Life.

Her magical and meaningful life lives on with the family and in all our memories forever.

The Family would like to express our thanks to all the hard working efforts of the SFD Hall 12, BC Ambulance first responders, the extreme care given at Peace Arch Hospital that attended to her till the end, and provided emotion support to the family. To give thanks to the care received by Dr. U Lee at Surrey Memorial oncology over the last six months.

In Lieu of flowers please donate to the BC Cancer Society.

Patti blossomed in the spring and summer as she perfected her garden, and as she enjoyed the sun, beach, boats, and time on the water.

A celebration of Life will be planned for early summer 2025.
