We are sad to announce that Peter N. Tarasoff passed away peacefully on April 5, 2020 after living a full life of 83 years. Born to Nick and Mary Tarasoff in Langham, Saskatchewan he was the younger brother of Helen Chernoff.
He leaves behind his wife Rosemary on their anniversary of 52 years, son Paul and wife Rosa Tarasoff (grandson Nick Tarasoff) of Vancouver B.C., daughter Anna and husband Luis Sanchez (grandchildren Bella, Mia, and Diego Sanchez) of White Rock B.C..
Peter left his farm life in Saskatchewan in the late 50's to explore his talents working at C.P. Rail, he went on to art school in Calgary, experienced life as a fisherman on the west coast eventually landing a career as a "Veneer Peeling Technician" at Forintek Canada at the University of British Columbia until his retirement in the mid 90's.
Peter met the love of his life in Nelson B.C. and continued everyday forward with that love.
Gardening remained his passion along with his endless handy skills. He loved taking his family on camping adventures through the mountains in the summer, to visit his loving family in Saskatchewan.
He will be missed dearly by his family, friends and neighbors for his warm heartedness and friendly personality. He is in a good place now and will always be remembered with lots of love forever.
We want to give a big thank you to the nurses and doctors of the Al Hogg Pavilion at Peace Arch Hospital. Your efforts and kindness were wonderful and made our fathers' last days comfortable.
