Phyllis Anna Bjarnason (nee Zalkowski) passed away suddenly on December 4, 2017 at Morgan Place Care Facility.
Phyllis was predeceased by her husband, Arthur Lawrence (Laurie) Bjarnason and her grandson Michael Trevor Gabriel.
She is survived by her brother Stephen Zalkowski (Pearl), 3 daughters, Laurina Wright, Lynda Gabriel and Marian Exmann (Gerry) as well as her grandson Craig Wright, great grandson Trevor James Gabriel and nephew Rob Klettke.
Phyllis was born in Surrey, BC in 1927 and lived most of her life in the Lower Mainland. She was a passionate and long-serving volunteer with the Canadian Cancer Society in Surrey and was awarded many accolades and awards for her contributions to that organization. She made many friends through her volunteer work and loved spending time with friends and family.
