Ray Wm. Scott 1917-2009
Ray passed away on 03/18/09 in his 92nd year. He was a long time resident of White Rock and spent the last few years of his life leading an active life in Harrison Hot Springs + Chilliwack.He was retired for over 30 yrs + never inactive. He learned the computer at 86 and completed the "Fitness Challenge" at 87. He lived independently all along. Born in Alberta and homesteaded in the Peace River region prior to enlisting in the RCAF where he survived 2 tours over Europe. It was in England that he met his wife of over 50 years, Stella. He cared for her until her death in 1997. Ray was an auto mechanic for more than 20 yrs. businesses in Surrey and Richmond. His experience assisting seniors while on the "Senior's Lottery Foundation" was a treasured time for him.
He leaves his only child, Georgina (Gina &Don), grandchildren, Erica and Gillian (Paul), great-grandchildren, Zoe, Jacob + Aidan. As well as brothers Lawrence, Norman and sisters Elsie + Merna.
Wednesday April 8/09 @ 2:00 pm a celebration of his life will be held for friends and family at Henderson's Funeral Home, 45901 Victoria Ave. Chilliwack,
