COPPIN, Raymond Charles

born in Vancouver in 1931, was a resident of South Surrey when he passed away peacefully on February 6, 2009. Ray, or "Papa", will be missed and lovingly remembered by his wife of 52 years, Maxine, son David, daughter Shakti, daughter-in-law Lise, the grandsons he dearly loved - Chris, Matt, Oliver, Mike and Dillon; brother Harold and sister Betty, and other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Ray was a professional truck driver for more than 30 years who devoted his life to the family he loved unconditionally. Ray will always be remembered for his smile and caring ways. Some of the passions in his life included tinkering in his workshop, camping, fishing, hunting, finding bargains, and homemade macaroni and cheese. The family extends a heartfelt thanks to the staff of Al Hogg Pavillion (2nd floor) for their care and compassion.

A private memorial will be held at a later date. The family would appreciate any donations in Ray's name be sent to BC Children's Hospital.
