July 21, 1937 – April 22, 2019
It is with profound sadness that we share the loss of Raymond (Ray) Gerrard Thomas Foord.
Ray has joined his beloved wife, Linda, of 49 years who passed away on April 5, 2019. He leaves behind his two daughters, Susanne and Allison, and their families. Ray is also survived by his brothers Joe, Bill, Fred and their families, and was predeceased by his brother, Wayne.
Ray lit up every room he entered. His kind, funny, gentle and patient ways endeared him to all. He loved golf, his garden and a good scotch but he loved his family above all else. If you asked Ray about his daughters or his grandchildren, his standard reply was, “How much time do you have?”
Ray’s warmth and his ready smile made him a great salesman, friend and neighbour. Born in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, Ray went on to live in most provinces working as a salesman for Robin Hood Multifoods for 43 years. He lived a full life and often entertained friends and family with his captivating stories.
A mass will be held on Thursday, May 9th at 1:30 pm at the Good Shepherd Church in South Surrey.
In lieu of flowers, please consider a donation to the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada.
