JONES, Raymond. Ray was born in Cloverdale Nov. 14, 1920 and passed away peacefully @ Peace Arch Hospital Fri Aug 19, 2011 at the age of 90. He served in the U.S. Navy during WWII. Ray married Audrey in 1952 and raised their 3 children (Barbara, Gordon and Beverly) in New Westminster. The summer months were spent at the cabin in White Rock, which made for many fond memories. Ray worked for the Burlington Northern Railway for 44 years before retiring to White Rock in 1985. He was a family man with a kind heart and would be the first to lend a helping hand, but beware of practical jokes. Ray and his 2nd wife Maxine had many memorable years together and were good companions for each other.

Predeceased by his first wife Audrey, his daughter Barbara Friesen, brother Burt Jones, sister Ida Brown, sister Betty Jones and his 2nd wife Maxine. Survived by his son-in-law Rick (Jennifer), Danielle, Connor and Trevor Friesen, son Gordon (Doris), Heather, Ray, Kristin and Dylan, daughter Beverly (Rob), Julie and Lindsay McDowell and great grandchildren Solamyn and Sage. A celebration of Ray’s life will be held Sat. Sept. 10, 2011 at Crescent Gardens 1222 King George Blvd, Surrey, BC from 2pm-4pm. In lieu of flowers a donation to your charity of choice.
