SHRIMPTON, Reginald Julian
Born June 23, 1928 at New Westminster, B.C., passed away on September 23, 2009, after a brief illness. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Miriam, his sister Kathy (Chuck), his children, Eric (Dianne) and Lori (Rick); his grandchildren, Ryan, Lana, Meghan, Karen, Blake and Caitlyn, and two great-grand children, Max and Nathan. Reg took on many important roles during his life. He joined the Royal Canadian Air Force in 1946 as a machinist. He achieved the rank of Captain in aircraft maintenance, before retiring after 28 years. He was stationed in Claresholm AB, Portage La Prairie MB, Centralia ON, Ottawa ON, Gimli MB and Winnipeg MB. Upon retiring, Reg used his carpentry skills to build everything from houses & furniture to doll houses. He also loved working in his garden, letting Nature show her beauty in every season. Always eager to give of his time, Reg will be greatly missed by all who knew him. No service by request.
