Reinhard passed away peacefully at Peace Arch Hospital, October 2, 2018 with his loving wife, Hilda, and children by his side. Reinhard was born in Maple Creek, SK, August 29, 1934 to Christian and Emilia. Reinhard was the youngest of 11 children raised on a farm in Golden Prairie, SK. He is predeceased by 5 brothers and 4 sisters, survived by 1 sister, Frieda of Lafayette, CA.

He leaves his children to mourn: Warren (Brenda), Darrell of Edmonton, AB; Darcy of Boston, MA; Louise (Hugh) of Terrace, BC; Bradford (Laurie) of Prince Albert, SK; Ernest (Sheri) of Saskatoon, SK; 12 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

Reinhard joined the Federal Public Service, with the Defense Research Board in Suffield, AB in 1954, then transferred to Indian and Northern Affairs in 1956. During his public service Reinhard served in Alberta (twice), Saskatchewan, Yukon, Manitoba, Ottawa (twice) and British Columbia in many and varied capacities. He was particularly pleased and humbled when Beardy and Okemasis First Nation at Duck Lake, SK, named a new community site "Kohlsville" in his honour while serving as Superintendent from 1963-1968. While serving as Regional Director in Alberta from 1980-1985, the Heart Lake First Nation, named their new school "Heart Lake Kohls School" in recognition of his compassionate service.

Reinhard (Randy) retired from the Federal Public Service in 1990 after serving 35+ years. During his retirement he spent 4 years in the Real Estate Industry and 12 years as a consultant/negotiator for the Federal Government. He had been a member of the White Rock Kiwanis Club since 1989, serving as President for two terms.

At his request there will be no service. A private interment service will be held at a later date.
