Rena Pinckston beloved wife of Dan Pinckston passed away peacefully in White Rock on March 26, 2019 at the age of 84 years. Mom was born and raised in Edmonton, Alberta one of four siblings. Growing up she was an excellent student and excelled at all athletics having participated in basketball, volleyball and swimming. She entered the University of Alberta to commence studies in business but had to withdraw due to early onset of MS.
She married Dan Pinckston on Aug 25, 1956 and was a dedicated mother to two children. Years later she went back to finish university to obtain a BA degree in Sociology. In her retirement she loved to travel having visited Russia, New Zealand, the far east of Asia, many warm weather destinations and trips throughout Canada in their motorhome.
She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Dan Bruce Pinckston; her children Daniel Robert Pinckston (Beth) and Laura Jane Johnson (Don), her grandchildren Scott, Christopher, Eric, Kristy, Jamie, Mark, Katja and Matthew and many extended family and friends. She is predeceased by her twin sister Rita McGreer (Don) and brothers Bill Linke (Elsie) and Don Linke (Dorothy).
