Rob passed away June 30, 2023 after a short battle with cancer.
He was predeceased by his parents, David and Elsie Gray, and favorite aunt Agnes Gray.
He will be dearly missed by his wife of 54 years Judith, his son Kevin (Kristin), daughter Andrea (Craig), and grandchildren Matthew, Katie, Chelsea, Madeline, and Rebecca.

Rob was born in Vancouver, and grew up in West Vancouver, attending Hillside Secondary school. He started his working life in the produce department of Woodwards and went on to work in appliance sales for over 30 years. Eventually he came back to his produce department roots, working for Thrifty foods in South Surrey for the past 15 years.
Rob was especially proud of the fact that he was able to work full time at Thrifty's until well into his 75th year, a job he only gave up when he was diagnosed with cancer 3 months ago.

Rob had a longtime love of boating that started when he married into Judith's family. They were members of the Royal City Yacht Club for 10 years and loved their trips up and down BC's coast in their boat, Halcyon. Rob and Judith also enjoyed several cruises, including Alaska and the Panama Canal.

Rob was always the consummate gentleman, always opening doors and offering his arm to Judith even in his final days. He was a devoted family man, and nothing gave him greater joy than sharing a meal with his children and grandchildren.
He was a great cook, and he loved making shortbread for everyone at Christmas, a recipe he learned from Judith's grandmother.

We would like to thank the staff of BC Cancer Surrey, White Rock Home Health, and Melville Hospice for their kind, compassionate care of Rob and our family over the last few months.

In lieu of flowers please consider donating to BC Cancer Foundation or a charity of your choice.
A celebration of Rob's life will be held at a later date.
