Roland Harvey Youngash

Roland Harvey Youngash of White Rock, B.C. passed away September 22, 2002 in Ocean View Care Home.

Born in Vancouver, in 1917, he was the son of the late Reginald and Edith Youngash. Roland was a veteran of WWII, having served overseas in Holland and England. He re-enlisted in the RCAF in 1950, retiring in 1967 and then worked for the Solicitor General of Canada and the BC Attorney General's Department until 1977.

Beloved husband of Phyllis; devoted father of Alan (Vickie Ann), Ronald, Shirley (Hal), Mark (Penny) and Eric (Sherry); loving grandfather of Christopher, Lori, Karly, Gary, Tristin, Gavin, Shannon and Tyson and great grandfather of Austin, Avery and Lucas. He is pre-deceased by his sisters Edna and Marjorie and was a dear uncle to Wayne, Dale, Clifford and David.

The family greatly appreciates the care and attention that was given by the staff of Harmony Health Care, Christina Place Seniors Residence, the Peace Arch Hospital and the Ocean View Care Home.

He was the essence of the family Man!

A celebration of Roland's life will be held, for family, on September 29, 2002. Condolences to 14066 - 18 Ave. Surrey, B.C. V4A 6T4.
