September 23, 1917 - September 6, 2017

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our mother, grandmother and great-grandmother, Rosamond Emma Stafford, just 17 days short of her 100th birthday, after a brief illness. She was predeceased by her husband of almost 40 years, Duke, parents Fletcher and Edith Stewart and by siblings Doug, Marion, Alex and Lillian. She is lovingly remembered by her sister Jean Treble in Regina and by twin daughters Sharon (Daryl) Walker and Shirley (Al) Zemrau, grandchildren Jeff (Natalie) Walker, Krista (Max) Bagnall, Greg (Anne Marie) Zemrau and Colleen (Stephen) Gordon. She also had 10 great-grandchildren - Carson, Ruby, Geneva, Willem, Alaina, Liam, Zachary, Craig, Theodore and Callum and many nieces and nephews. Mom valued family highly and was happy and proud that all of her great grandchildren knew and loved her. She loved to be active and square danced for over 60 years. After moving to BC in 2010, she became active with the White Rockers Square Dance Club and loved being a part of that welcoming group. When asked what her secret of long life was she always replied 'square dancing!' A Memorial Service will be held at Crescent United Church, 2756 127 St, Surrey, BC, on September 30, 2017, at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Peace Arch Hospice Society, http://www.whiterockhospice.org/home, or to a charity of your choice.
