Rosemarie Brown, long time resident of Surrey-Whiterock passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 17, 2020 at age 83.
She was born August 10, 1937 to Peter and Elizabeth Kissmann in Cologne Germany. Immigrated to Canada in 1954 and settled in Winnipeg.
She learned English by working as a house keeper. She worked at the Bay, and in her later years was employed at Coast Capital in White Rock.
he married Winston in 1961 and shared a wonderful marriage for nearly 60 years. 2 children, a daughter Kimberly (1964) and son Mark (1966).
Moved to Saskatoon in 1965 and Prince George in 1968. Vancouver was a final move in 1973. Mom excelled at crafts, decorating and sewing. She enjoyed sports, badminton, running, skiing and golf.
She volunteered at Guides and drove us to sports, always encouraging us to do our best. She often walked with friends at Crescent Beach.
In her later years travelled to many Carribean islands, Maui, and Whistler. Spent years camping in their 5th wheel. She enjoyed reading, puzzles, and Sidoku on her ipad. Movies were a favourite pastime.
Predeceased by her parents and brother Robert and her sister-in-law Jenny Belknap. She leaves behind to mourn her husband Winston, daughter Kim (Roger) Matthews, son Mark, 6 grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
