It is with great sadness that we announce that the beautiful Ruth Christina Torres passed away with loved ones by her side on Wednesday, October 2, 2024, at the age of 67, far too soon.
Ruth was a loving, devoted and irreplaceable mother, wife, grandmother, stepmother, and friend to many. She was born on April 2, 1957, in Kitchener, Ontario, but ultimately for career reasons moved to BC in the 90's. Working as a Human Resource Manager for the majority of her career, she touched many colleagues along the way and made an impact to the organization she worked for.
She loved to spend time with family, travel, garden, cook and absolutely loved being a grandmother. Her beauty inside and out was always radiating. Her nature was that of a calm yet confident, intelligent and elegant woman. Anyone that knew Ruth was drawn to her welcoming energy. She had a zest for life, always viewing things optimistically. She was able to travel and see the world, with her last trip being on her bucket list - Australia.
In the final times of her life, she portrayed courage and bravery while dealing with a tragic and sudden battle with cancer. Her ability to still see the positive even in the darkest times is something we will always cherish and admire. All her family and friends will miss her immense love and light. Ruth made a profound impact on all our lives; we will miss her so very deeply and will honor her in everything we do for the rest of our lives.
