Grew up in New Westminster and attended Lord Lister Elementary School and Duke of Connaught High School New Westminster, BC. After graduation, Margaret worked as a Nurses Aid at Royal Columbian Hospital until 1950, then moved to Surrey BC where in 1961 was hired at Peace Arch Hospital in the front office as an accountant until she retired 1991.
Predeceased by sisters Mary, Norma & Bill. Margaret is survived by sons John Garth Lowe and Michael Lowe, grandchildren Angela Haertl, Dagan Lowe, Anna Lowe & Matthew Lowe, great granchildren Angelina, Riley, Julia and Sarah.
Margaret was an avid rockhound and an active member in the Maple Ridge Lapidary club. In the late 60's she and then husband Bernard Lowe built a 26 ft sailboat which they spent many years sailing the inside passage of BC. She was also a member in White Rock Power Squadron. She also enjoyed hiking, cross country skiing, stained glass art, Knitting, and some Jewellery work and Gem polishing.
After retirement in 1990, she enjoyed travelling across Canada with her second husband Harold Sutton in their Van and later enjoyed many cruises and tours with sister Norma Meehan, Mary Parkinson and sister in law Alma Benson.
