YOUNG, Sharon Rose

Age 64, of St. Petersburg, Florida, passed away Tuesday, January 12, 2010. She was born in Regina, Saskatchewan.

Sharon and her husband Alex moved to St. Petersburg in 2004 from White Rock, B.C.

She loved to travel, especially to meet family in Maui. She absolutely cherished her grandchildren, as they were her life's delight. She loved gatherings with family, close friends and her work colleagues and was very fond of her Coke, her Buicks and her new St. Pete home. She always thought of others before herself. Sharon was a true animal lover, and especially adored her beloved dog Fifer. She was an amazing mother, a loving and patient wife, and known to all others as a kind, generous and very special person. She was preceded in death by her father, John H. McLean.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Alex Young; her son, Clint (Michelle) McLean; her daughter, Holly McLean; her sister, Shelley (Barry) Galbiati; her mother, Kathleen McLean; her five grandchildren, Kristen, Jadyn, Austin, Dallas, and Dakota McLean; Alex' children David & Wenda and grandchildren Myles and Margeaux. Plans for Sharon's interment will be at a later date in her home city in Saskatchewan. In lieu of flowers, voluntary donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society.
