With heavy hearts, the family announces the passing of Sheila on June 11th at Weatherby Pavilion, Peace Arch Hospital in White Rock. Predeceased by her husband, Robert (Bob) de Pencier and son, David, Sheila leaves her loving family - her three sons Al, Dale (Carmen) and Rick, daughter-in-law Edi (David), granddaughter Shelley Heath (Brad) and great granddaughters Karis and Emily, grandson Darryl in Los Angeles (Chris), grandsons Rob and Ray de Pencier (Al's sons), nieces in White Rock area Katie Hughes (Richard) and Bobbie (Kathie) and nephew Theo (Suzanne), the Rowse family in California and many other relatives and friends throughout Canada, USA and England. Sheila was born in Winnipeg to Percival and Mary Rowse. Sheila and her husband, Bob, grew up in and were married in Winnipeg. Bob was a career officer in the RCAF and Sheila and Bob were stationed in Nova Scotia, PEI, Ontario, Germany and Manitoba. Upon retirement, they moved with their four sons to BC. Sheila was very active for 22 years as a volunteer in the Superfluity Shop of the Peace Arch Hospital Auxiliary. She enjoyed gardening and was an active curler in White Rock for many years. The family would like to thank the nurses and staff at the Weatherby 2 Pavilion for their wonderful care and compassion. A private family graveside gathering will be held. Memorial donations may be made to Peace Arch Hospital Foundation in Sheila's name.
