June 7, 1925 - July 2, 2016 Mom passed away peacefully at Westminster House in South Surrey, after several years of failing health. She will be lovingly remembered and greatly missed by her family and many friends. She is survived by her sister Lorna Kirby, and also by her four children: Donna, Chris Jr, Barbara, and Carol (Tom), and her stepdaughter, Eleanor (Craig). She will also be missed by her treasured grandchildren, Kane (Jeannie), Kerry (Lily), Matt (Cindy), Hayley (Pat), Chamyli (Dan), Emily, Chelsea (Scott), Stephanie and Lauren, as well as a number of great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her first husband, Chris Langhaug (Sr), and her second husband Karl Stach, as well as her eldest son Clarence, and her daughter Lynda, and her son-in-law Thomas. Mom will be remembered for her kind and gentle heart, and her capacity to give. She lived a rich and active life before her health slowed her down. She spent many years as a teacher, and administrator in School District #36 (Surrey). In her retirement she was very active in her community, serving several terms as president of the Langley Brookswood Seniors Club, and also as president of the Sons of Norway Saga Lodge. Besides all of this, her days were filled with family, friends, travelling, reading a good book, cooking, and music. She canned, she gardened, she sang, and she made waffles extraordinaire!
