Sheilah Essex

Sheilah Essex died on October 9, 2024, two months shy of her 100th birthday. Sheilah was predeceased by her loving husband William G. (Bill) Essex in 2009, dear sons Michael (2007) and Tony (2024), and daughter-in-law Marlyse (predeceased Tony in 2015). She is survived by her son John (Mary-Ellen) and daughter-in-law Pamela Essex (Haydn Acheson), by grandchildren Andrew (Meredith), Lana (Ryan), Graham (Katie), Kirsten (Scott) and Elizabeth (Andy), and by six great-grandchildren (with two more on the way). She is also survived by her niece Judith Carter (Stephen), Tony's three stepsons (Wade, Boyd and Dean Nicholson) and their families, and many other much-loved extended family, Godchildren and friends. Sheilah was steadfastly devoted to her family from which she received great joy and happiness in return. She will be dearly missed, but never forgotten.

A memorial service will be held at St. Mark Anglican Church - Ocean Park on Friday December 13 at 1:00 p.m. No flowers by request. If desired, donations may be made to the charity of your choice in memory of Sheilah.
