ORIHUEL, Simon, Fernando M.D., F.R.C.P(C). Passed away peacefully August 20th, 2012. Fernando was born October 11, 1937 in Seville, Spain. He is survived by his children Pilar (Colin) Osing, grandchildren Reesa and Kohen, by his son David and his friend Diana (Stuart) Fraser. He is also survived by his Spanish family: sister Amalia (Miguel), brother Juan, nieces and nephews Rocio (Victor), Jacobo, Blanca, Miguel, Mabi and Victoria and great niece and nephew Amalia & Alejandro. Fernando came to Canada in 1969 to complete his residency in Paediatrics at Winnipeg Children's Hospital, Montreal Children's and Foothills Hospital in Calgary. He arrived in Surrey in 1972 and set up practice in North Delta where he served the community for 30 years. Parents of his patients will remember his patient, gentle touch and his astute diagnoses and treatment. On retirement, he enjoyed swimming, studying mathematics, and his family; spending time with his grandchildren and beloved dog Riley. By request no service will be held, in lieu of flowers donations can be made to the SPCA.
