Born December 24, 1931 in Lom, Slovenia passed away peacefully on March 17, 2005 with his family at his side.
Steve is lovingly remembered by his wife, Marietta, of more than 51 years, his children Terry (Sandra), Steve (Cindy) and Robert (Tonya), and his grandchildren Michael and Hailey.
Steve came to Canada in 1951 and after a short stay in Ontario, moved to BC.
After 3 years in Ocean Falls, Steve and Maretta moved to Campbell River, where they resided for 35 years, before moving to Victoria then to White Rock.
His love was fishing, bowling, golf and playing cards, but mostly spending time with his family.
His strength and determination was always complimented with his warm smile and sense of humor, and his courage was inspirational to all who knew him
The family would like to thank Dr. Perold, the nurses and staff at Peace Arch Hospital and the Home Care nurses for their compassion and caring during Steve's final months.
At Steve's request, there will be no service.
