Susan Marie Davey

October 28, 2004

Born October 26, 1957, passed away peacefully October 28, 2004.

The youngest daughter of Bert and Marie Davey, Susan grew up in White Rock, BC, attended The Dawn School with her favourite teacher Mrs. Burke, then worked at Clover Valley Industries from the time she was 18. She also worked for a short time at Wendy's on Johnson Road, where she tended the salad bar, cleaned tables and had a smile for everyone. She loved putting on her special uniform when it was time to go to work.

She returned to CVI and spent her remaining years there making beautiful prize ribbons and working with her friends.

Susan learned to play a few songs on the piano and enjoyed singing, especially happy songs like "You Are My Sunshine". She was an avid bowler and won a medal at the Special Olympics. She loved attending mass and went most Sundays with her dear friend Janet to The Good Shepherd Roman Catholic Church where she often volunteered to help take up the collection.

Her last few days were spend happily as she enjoyed a party on her birthday with family and friends and another party with more friends the next evening.

She passed away peacefully in her sleep in the early hours of October 28th, 2004.

Susan was truly an angel bringing smiles and happiness to all our family, and all who were lucky enough to know her.

She will be deeply missed by her 'mum' Marie, brothers Robert and Garry and sister Carolyn and their partners, and many cousins, nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews as well as all of her dear friends.

The family also expresses our deepest appreciation to Susan's caregiver of recent years, Shannon Myers who cared so lovingly for Susan.

A mass was held Tuesday, November 2, 2004 at Good Shepherd Church in Surrey.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to the BC Assosciation for Community Living.
