Valerie Ann Katharine White

October 9, 1938 - October 3, 2019
Valerie passed away peacefully just shy of her 81st birthday. Predeceased in 1997 by her husband John (Jack). Born in Croydon England.
Valerie and Jack immigrated with their children to Canada in 1967
eventually settling in B.C. Valerie lived an engaged and productive life.
She loved her work at Peace Arch hospital and continued to volunteer there after her retirement. She also enjoyed many hours walking 'Daisy' at the dog park and through Kwomais Park. Valerie made many friends through her various pursuits and continued to maintain friendships that began in grade school. Over the years she enjoyed many trips back home to the UK to visit her family and friends. Her dignity, honour and kind manner touched many people. Lovingly remembered by sons Nick (Lori), Simon (Allison) and stepson John (Carol) and her grandchildren Justin, Ben, Dylan, Danielle, Miranda, Jill and John. The family wish to thank all the staff at the Irene Thomas Hospice for their compassionate care and support that we received over the three weeks that Valerie was there.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday October 26th at 2 pm at St Marks Anglican Church, 2953 20th Ave, Surrey.
In lieu of flowers a donation may be made to the Delta Hospice Society.
