Born on January 8, 1916 and raised in Franklin, Ont; passed away suddenly on December 18, 2005 at Peace Arch Hospital, White Rock, BC just 3 weeks short of her 90th birthday.
Predeceased by first husband John MacAlpine Philip and second husband John Philip White; mother and father George and Elizabeth Hammett; brother James Hammett; sisters Gertrude Murphy, Olive Stokes and Muriel Gilkes.
Loving mother to Patricia and husband Ron MacDonald, Delta, BC and Nana of Kristine (Lorne Nielson) and Jason MacDonald.
Cherished great-grandchildren, Kyle, Owen, Jessica, Chelsea and Nicole.
Verna is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, friends and their families in BC and Ontario.
Mom's love and laughter will be missed by all who knew and loved her.
