EVANS: Veronica Freda (Oxenbury)
passed away peacefully at the Peace Arch Hospital in White Rock on April 4, 2005, aged 83 years. Veronica will be sadly missed & lovingly remembered by her sons, James Mitchell (Lorna) & Jack Mitchell (Bev); grandchildren Lee (Lisa), Cori, Shelley, and Natalie; great grandchildren, Amanda, Tyler, and Jazmine. Her brother, Cecil & husband Tom, predeceased Veronica. For many years, Veronica was well known for her work at IGA, Super Valu & Safeway in White Rock. After retiring, she did volunteer work for the Ladies Auxiliary of the Royal Canadian Legion. Veronica and Tom also enjoyed hosting vacation tours to Europe, Hawaii, the Caribbean and many North American destinations. Special thanks to Dr. Benitez and the nursing staff at the Palliative Care Unit. No service by Veronica's request. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Peace Arch Hospital Foundation.
