Heatherington, Viola Margaret

Viola passed away quietly June 16th, 2007 at Evergreen Baptist Care Centre in White Rock. She was born at Herschel Sk on May 24, 1923. Survived and lovingly remembered by her brother Melvin (Kay) and several nieces and nephews and many friends.

Predeceased by her parents David and Alberta (McCracken) her sister Nina and brother Irwin.

Viola went to school in the Engen district. She moved to Burnaby in 1941 and worked at Pacific Veneer making plywood for Mosquito Bombers. She later worked at Unemployment Insurance and then moved on to banking in California, Seattle, Vancouver, New Westminster & White Rock.

She was very active in the Eastern Star, Past Matron of Royal City Chapter #7 New Westminster, member of White Rock Chapter #60, also a member of Sequoia Court #15.

Viola really enjoyed her time at Evergreen Baptist Care Centre. The family wish to Thank the Staff for the wonderful care given her, as we’re sure she was a challenge at times.

A service will be held Saturday June 23, 2007 at 11am at First United Church, 15385 Semiahmoo, White Rock.

In lieu of flowers a donation may be made to the Activities Dept. Evergreen Baptist Care Centre.
