We are all blessed for having known and shared special times with Violet. She was an extraordinary woman who enjoyed writing stories, singing, dancing, travelling and spending time with her family and friends. Violet's caring nature was clear through her years as a practical nurse at the Calgary General and Surrey Memorial Hospitals. We were very proud of her and all that she accomplished and contributed while she lived. The family wishes to express its sincere gratitude to all of Violet's caregivers at the Ocean View Nursing Home. A memorial service to celebrate Violet's life will be held at the Victory Memorial Park Chapel, 14831 - 28 Avenue, Surrey at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday August 6, 2002. In lieu of flowers, please take a friend to lunch and tell them those things that are often expressed only after they are gone. If friends so desire, memorial contributions may be made directly to the Peace Arch Hospital Foundation, 15521 Russell Ave. White Rock, B.C.
