CRAIG, Wendy Lynn

On Easter Sunday, April 16, 2017 we lost a mother, grandmother and friend. Wendy was born in New Westminster on May 1, 1949, and went on to graduate from Princess Margaret HS and then Kwantlen College. She worked as an LPN, and later found her true calling as a Community Support Worker at Delta Community Living Society. She was respected and loved by her co-workers, clients and their families. My mother led a life of service, and will remain a model of the virtues of selflessness, empathy, and generosity to all who knew her. Wendy lived most of her life in Surrey, but moved to Calgary in 2013 to be with her children after she was diagnosed with cancer. Mom fought for four years, and passed peacefully away as I held her face in my hands, and told her she is beautiful and loved. She is survived by her daughter Aaryon (Geoff), her son Jason (Michelle), and her 7 grandchildren: Krystenne, Tara, Courtney, Kaitlyn, Hallie, Hannah, and Jude. A memorial will be held from 4-6pm on July 8, 2017 at the Recreation Hall in Langley Grove Estates: 3665 244th Street, Langley. Special thanks to Dr. Assiz and the oncology staff at Foothills Hospital.
